 One of the all-time
favorite childhood stories tells the tale of a little girl
renowned for her golden locks. While on an errand for her
Mother one day, Goldilocks strayed far into the woods and
discovered a well-appointed cottage with no one home. Out
of curiosity, she entered and spied three bowls of porridge
set out on the table. She tasted each and finding the smallest
bowl's contents just right, she quickly gulped it down.
She then tried out the three chairs and settled on the smallest
breaking the seat through! Feeling sleepy, she ventured
upstairs where she sampled the three beds. The smallest
was so comfortable, she soon fell fast asleep.
The occupants of the
cottage, a family of three bears named Papa Bear, Mama Bear
and Baby Bear, returned to discover that someone had been
in their home. Baby Bear was most distressed to find his
porridge eaten, his chair broken, and after searching upstairs,
a small girl asleep in his bed! Awakening with a start to
see the Three Bears standing around her bed, Goldilocks
bounded out of the cottage and ran safely home.

 Goldilock's is constructed
of the finest all wool felt. She measures 12.25" tall and
is fully jointed for playful posing. She features a hand
painted face, golden curls made of fine mohair and childlike
hands sewn with individual fingers. Goldilocks comes wearing
a cotton summer dress with a hand smocked bodice and dainty
Swiss embroidered trim. She also features custom made stockings,
fine cotton undergarments, and hand cobbled red leather
shoes. On one arm is a custom woven basket filled with handmade
felt daisies.

Three Bears

 The Three Bears are fully jointed and made of the
finest custom mohair plush with sculpted felt paw pads with
resin claws, and internal growlers. Each bear features German
glass pupil eyes and a molded nose. Baby Bear measures 8"
tall and comes wearing a short felt jacket for his walk
in the woods. Also included is a felt and cotton bib. Mama
Bear measures 15" and includes interior jointing in her
wrists - an exciting new feature. She wears a beautifully
embroidered felt cape lined in cotton calico for outdoors,
and for indoors, a felt and cotton bib apron. Papa Bear
measures 16" tall also features the interior wrist movement.
He has an open mouth with felt tongue and inserted resin
teeth. Papa is outfitted in a detailed, fully lined corduroy
vest with leather buttons and a plaid cotton back. In one
pocket of his vest will be a custom-made pipe! For his walk
in the woods, he wears an authentic felt Tyrolean-style
hat.
